Colourful Birthday Cupcake Cards

Let's make birthday cupcake cards today. These colourful note cards or gift cards can easily and quickly be created by using cupcake stickers and rubber stamps.

It is good to make a few of them just in case you need a birthday card and don't have the time to go out and buy one or if you just want a notecard that's unique and special to go with your birthday gift.

Making the Colourful Birthday Cupcake Cards

I had a sheet of cupcake stamps by Hero Arts and the images are kind of too small for a big card. Today, I decided to make some note-cards with the four cupcake images in the sheet.

Supplies Used:

  • White card stock (A4 size or letter size)
  • Cupcake stamps
  • Happy Birthday rubber stamp
  • Acyclic blocks for the cling rubber stamps
  • Memento brush markers (you can also use colour pencils or Copic markers)
  • Trimmer
  • Memento ink pad - Tuxedo Black
  • Glitter glue or colour gems for embellishment (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cut the sheet of card stock into four pieces.
  2. Score and fold.
  3. Ink cupcake stamp with tuxedo black and make an impression on the bottom of card front.
  4. Ink Happy Birthday stamp with same ink pad and stamp slightly above the cupcake stamped image.
  5. Colour with brush markers or other preferred media.
  6. Embellished with colour gem or apply glitter glue.

Isn't that simple? We could make quite a number of these note-cards and keep them in a plastic box for emergency use ;-)

These are 3D stickers that came in sheet. On the sheet are quite a number of birthday stickers. For example; birthday greetings, stars, ribbons, cakes, ice-creams and of course cupcakes. You will notice that it is raised with doubled sided foam tape and the 'buttercream' topping is layered over at the top of each cupcake. Lovely! And the colours are so vivid too. I just love these.

And I am sure that the one receiving these colourful cupcake note cards will surely love them too. Won't you?

So go out and get some stickers and make a few of these greeting cards. If you can't find them in the craft-store, you might like to go to book stores where they sell children books and stuffs. I bought mine from Chinatown.
